what it’s like brings the spectators into a shared space to witness and experience experiments with comfort, agency, responsibility and complicity. Performers/collaborators Michael Caldwell, Luke Garwood and Naishi Wang move along with the audience through a series of shared environments, embodied tensions between aggression and tenderness applying game-related strategies, making and breaking pacts with one another and with the audience. Thematically the work engages with questions that we are facing right now as well as before the pandemic crisis: how can we come together and create bonds of brotherhood in front of an increasing violence and global tension.
