PINOCCHIO & ALICE - What it means to be human

Choreography: Jasmin Vardimon

Jasmin Vardimon’s adaptation of Pinocchio will continue touring in 2021-22. Based on the original book by Collodi, Pinocchio brings to life the famous marionette as he embarks on a fantastic journey to become a human boy. With insightful humour, engaging drama and acute observation of behaviour, the production combines physical theatre, innovative technologies, text and dance to examine the idea of what it means to be human. Following the international success of Pinocchio, Jasmin Vardimon is now preparing her new creation – an imaginative and magical adaptation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Her interpretation of this story focuses on the narrative of a young girl undergoing the powerful experience of adolescence and the effect it has on her identity and her understanding of the world around her. Alice premieres at the BoING Festival in Canterbury, UK in August 2021.
