Disappearing Act
Choreography: Adele Goh
The emerging Singaporean choreographer and dancer created an abstract work with Disappering Act, focusing on the presence of her own body on stage: My body as a spatial point of reference, a point of occupancy. The center of attention is Adele Goh’s body as well as a dress. The dress represents a physical body while she herself represents her inner self. Via this dialogue between inner and outer self, Adele Goh explores issues of the body. In the end the inner self resolves its relationship with the body – disappearing into darkness.
