A Long talk to oneself

Choreography: Kim Bora

She is utterly alone, involved in a dialogue: Bora Kim is conducting a conversation with a video of herself projected on stage. In the confrontation with her own self, visible in sequences from earlier works, the dancer and choreographer lays bare a deeply moving tenderness and fragility. Flowing movements cross over into fragmented gestures and evolve into complete frozenness. We feel that a person is diving deep into her history and her soul and emerging from this confrontation in a state of shock.
