STAGES INTO THE NOW is part of a series of three films exploring intimate relationships with different locations significant to Alexandra Waierstall and to the meaning of theatre as a space for dance. For the first film, she has teamed up with British dancer Scott Jennings, a former member of Pina Bausch’s Tanztheater Wuppertal, to explore their relationship with the opera house in Wuppertal. As a live work, his solo material features in her latest live piece: IN THE HEART OF THE HEART OF THE MOMENT– an ode to our times, embodied by 9.
