Franklin Dávalos - Danza Contemporánea PE
Choreography: Franklin Dávalos
In his performance, Peruvian choreographer Franklin Dávalos explores the psychology of a mother who has put her newborn baby up for adoption. By observing her inner life from the abandoned son’s perspective, the autobiographical work deals with the reconciliation of a man with his own femininity, his dialogue with his biological origin, and the need for Latin American societies to rethink the concept of “motherhood”.
