Black Diamond

Choreography: Tim Rushton

The pieces of coal in the black diamond have developed so much that they have turned into electrical conductors. This is, in any case. what happens in the latest production by the Danish Dance Theatre. In a sparkling universe of light, scenery and movement Tim Rushton and his hand-picked company literally spray the audience with inspiring energy. At first the choreography is intense and stringent, a powerful organism against the background of a massive black structure. Then a sparkling white wall contrasts with the impenetrable blackness, revealing illuminated colours and beaming bodies. At the end stands the human being, naked and beautiful, sensitive and full of hope.
