Opening Party hosted by Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Colonia

The Italian Cultural Institute Cologne, in collaboration with MiC - Direzione Generale per lo Spettacolo and NID New Italian Dance Platform, invites you to the opening party of the internationale tanzmesse nrw 2024 on 28 August from 9 p.m. in the foyer of tanzhaus nrw.

To mark the evening, musician Gaetano Scognamiglio will present a live DJ set inspired by Italo disco.

Gaetano Scognamiglio is a Neapolitan composer, producer, musician and DJ as well as composer of pop hits ("Litoranea" for Elisa, "Giro con te" with Calcutta), producer and author of several hits. He leads the band Fitness Forever, which has been releasing for the historic Spanish indie label ELEFANT RECORDS for a decade, and the band Valderrama 5. With his DJ alter ego DINO ERRE, he presents a selection of rare musical gems - from untraceable Italian albums of the 70s and 80s with a special focus on the sounds of the masters of orchestral jazz-funk and pop productions that have been edited and filtered with Italian sensitivity.
