Floreus

Choreography: Sébastien Provencher

Choreographer Sébastien Provencher will share an insight into his interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to his work Floreus, as well as reflect on the place of queer issues and bodies in contemporary dance at a time when violence is on the rise and human rights are at risk. The piece is a site-specific work that brings forth the softness of queer intimacy, creating an animated still life, an eco-queer and “ecomatic” choreography, a ceremony of flowers and sensuality. Floreus is inspired by visual artist Zachari Logan, bringing together contemporary dance, music, visual art and floristry to create an ambitious diptych.
