Le Patin Libre is invested in the research project Glide and intimacy on roller-skates (working title) about glide on roller-skates in small performance spaces, leading to a full-evening creation in 2024/2025. The choreographers Alexandre Hamel and Pascale Jodoin maintain their modern-inspired dedication to the specific quality of skating: translations in space that are disconnected from the movements of the body. The choreographic focus is leading the duo to the thematic ideas of disconnection, alienation and marginality as well as the opposites connection, belonging and conformism.
