Dance from Scotland
Back and Forth and Forth and Back
Choreography: Aby Watson
Back and Forth and Forth and Back (BFFB) is a relaxed, sensory dance performance that transcends you to “The Zone” – a sensory installation, and dreamy alternate dimension of neurodivergent consciousness, where time ceases to exist as we know it. BFFB is an immersive, experimental choreography of rhythm, repetition, and sensorial play through a mode of neuroqueer mind-bodily being. It is a relaxed performance open to all bodyminds, but specifically centres neurodivergent adult audiences – enabling a normatively overlooked audience demographic to engage with radical and risky performance. BFFB is a project in development that embodies Aby Watson’s innovative practice research. Aby seeks to present their insight through embodied, playful means that is engaging to receive and is clear in its content.
