LILITH.AEON
Choreography: Aoi Nakamura and Esteban Lecoq
LILITH.AEON is an innovative audience-guided cyber-physical piece of dance that pushes and reimagines the boundaries between the metaverse and reality. This multidisciplinary artwork delves into the future of Lilith, a virtual character reincarnated, and the intriguing metaverse world she inhabits. Drawing inspiration from the remarkable true story of a three-year-old girl, the first human ever to be cryogenized, it weaves a narrative that explores the concept of “transhumanism” and challenges our understanding of life and death in a future society, as well as encourages the audience to contemplate and expand their imagination. The fusion of technology and art delivers a captivating storytelling experience that vividly illustrates how the rise of AI forces us to reconsider our perspective of life, death, and the essence of existence.
