A Space for Indigenous Voices

hosted by TAIWAN MOVE in collaboration with BlakDance

This Meet-Up builds on the round table discussion that took place at Tanzmesse 2022. The goal is to reflect on how we can rethink the culture and voices that contribute to shaping a more engaged and diverse environment in the global dance context. In this session, we invite First Nation artists to share their artistic practices and would love to connect with dance curators and professionals in a dialogue on integrating Indigenous voices into curatorial practices. Together, we will explore the layers of sustainable ecosystems within our modern society and harness the transformative power within our sector.

This Meet-Up is hosted by TAIWAN MOVE, an initiative by the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), commissioned by Taiwan's Ministry of Culture to arrange and curate the performances featured within.
