The Pre-Day NRW invites international visitors to get some insight into the diversity of the dance scene in the region of North Rhine-Westphalia and to exchange ideas with its protagonists. Visitors can choose from three bus tours that take them to the cities of Essen, Cologne and Wuppertal, respectively. The North Rhine-Westphalian dance scene has a lot to offer: archives and regional community work, outstanding theatres for dance production and artists’ initiatives, residency and mentoring projects and, of course, studio visits with choreographers. It is an offer for those arriving early for Tanzmesse and wishing to make contacts in a more intimate setting. The day is rounded off with a joint dinner in Düsseldorf on the eve of the Tanzmesse.
