Pre-Day Tour Wuppertal
The first stop is the Pina Bausch Foundation. Its archive holds the extensive collection of pictures, videos and documents, which serve to rehearse Pina Bausch's pieces, but also form the basis for new projects, with which the foundation continues the legacy. As a follow-up, the scholarship holders of the Pina Bausch Fellowship for Dance and Choreography introduce themselves. At Barmer Bahnhof in Wuppertal, choreographers Thusnelda Mercy and Pascal Merighi founded Tanz Station in 2020, which offers residencies, co-working, networking, workshops and presentations. They will give an insight into their artistic work and the hustle and bustle of TanzStation. Another guest with a project presentation is CROWD – international dance exchange, an international residency programme offered by the Goethe Institute in cooperation with the local network partner NRW KULTURsekretariat.
