This Is The Real Thing

In this performance the body is in a constant state of becoming. Dancer and choreographer Anna Nowicka is slowly transforming, constantly forming, destroying and creating but without remaining in the form of a visual object. The physical body functions as an infinite hypertext, as it were, referring the viewer to more and more new associations. The dialogue between the real body and its visual representations raises the question of what the body actually is, how we perceive it and to what extent we can consciously construct it.
