The Friday afternoon at WELTKUNSTZIMMER is dedicated to a three-hour performance discovery tour. dance.on.site opens up a microcosm of site-specific performances and performative intervention. The works of four different choreographers use the exceptional venue in versatile and even surprising ways and incorporate its various rooms and spaces as well as special characteristics inside and outside.

Janis Claxton Dance | POP-UP DUETS (fragments of love) (UK)
A compelling series of 5-minute love duets designed to emerge from a wide range of public spaces for invited as well as accidental audiences who find themselves passing by.

Y to C – Yaniv Cohen | You look like you (NO)
You look like you is as daring in conception as it is evocative in action. Each performance combines a new audience with a new performer and from that, a new world is born – a uniquely functioning organism within a defined space and time.

James Batchelor and Collaborators | Deepspace (AU)
Combining dance, sound and installation, Deepspace is a mesmerising, intimate performance that examines our curiosity for the unknown. Playing at the intersection of art and science, the body is taken to the extremities of remoteness and proximity, connectedness and isolation.

Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre | A Bela e a Fera ou a Ferida Grande Demais (US)
The solo performance is an intimate portrayal of a fairy tale trope and internal conflicts. Based on the Portuguese story of the same name by Brazilian writer Clarice Lispector, it offers the notion that beauty and beast are perhaps more intertwined than one would expect.
