In Autóctonos II, choreographer Ayelen Parolin alludes to the imagery of the circle – supposed to bring (back) together, to unite – and is an affirmation of stability, of order and standardization. These are the cornerstones of her choreographic development for the quintet of a pianist and four dancer. Parolin questions the place of the group, and of “belonging to a group” by challenging the physical tenacity and commitment of the performers.
