STILL MOTION transpires at the interface between visual and performance art, reflecting the human body in its urban habitat. Movement and image are both stripped down to the bare minimum. This allows the spectators to immerse themselves in a world of subtlety. Choreographer Anna Anderegg focuses the onlookers’ gaze on the cold realm of concrete. Through images zooming in to an almost microscopic degree, fascinating nuances emerge from this rather coarse everyday material. The dancer generates a captivating relationship to the slowly evolving spaces.
