Back to nature – a romantic performance. Nature stands for purity, authenticity and freedom, whereas culture is man-made and denotes civilisation, order, and planning.
In her work 3: THE GARDEN, Nicole Beutler turns these clichés upside down. In her Garden of Eden six acrobatic performers enact a physical ritual by mirroring each other, creating the illusion of being little dots in a kaleidoscope. But the arranged beauty is gradually getting out of hand as mankind is sliding into self-inflicted chaos.
