Masks are elementary parts of Stephan Goldrajch’s work. In “Torah for Buddies“ the artist links the masks with dance – for only in performance do the masks attain their complete magnificence. The movements of the dancers distort the characters in a thoroughly grotesque manner. The eerie grimacing figures circle round the audience and draw the spectators into a maelstrom of misshapen images.
