A museum at night. A huge Titian, the portrait of a naked woman. A woman is sitting gazing at the picture. A man stands in a doorway watching the woman. Female dancers in fencing clothes perform a scurrilous, nightmare event. Something which begins in Renaissance Sienna – the époque in which mankind discovered its self-confidence – ends in a timeless room in which reality and fiction, the past and present all mix together. Marcos Morau and his company use a charged theatrical dance vocabulary to explore our invariable needs and observe ourselves.
