Creating work for young audiences: important realtionships

“The impossible Friendship between Augustijn and Stef” by Seppe Baeyens portrays a friendship which goes beyond the boundaries of age. It is possible to view this as a metaphor for the development of dance for young audiences. Relationships between children and grown-ups are illuminated via dance. Children take over the role of professional dancers; and conceptional approaches and shows for small children are not mutually exclusive. Under these aspects choreographers will be talking about the work.
