Where is Tonoland? Anton Lachky knows the way. He relies on the principle of a sequence of images on Mozart, Verdi and Tchaikovsky as well as on his gang of five. On a stage free of frills, he has complete control of the choreography even when he gives his dancers free rein to improvise. The dancers respond with originality and terrific speed. They form characters and encounters, give life to full-blooded and intimate stories, even without a specific end in sight. Tonoland is a realm of physical presence, inspired by the beauty and power of dancing bodies. “Mind a Gap“ is the first work that Lachky has produced with the company he set up in 2012 in Brussels.
